What is GEO, generative engine optimisation?
Generative engine optimisation (GEO) is the discipline of structuring your content so it gets cited by AI search engines, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, when someone asks a question your business should answer. Where traditional SEO earns you a position on a results page, GEO earns you a mention in the answer itself. Half your buyers now start their search in an AI tool and never see a results page at all. GEO is how you reach them.
Discovery has split in two, and most businesses are only visible in one half. Traditional SEO is not dead, it is harder and more competitive, but the buyers who use Google still convert. The businesses winning in 2026 are the ones present in both places, ranked where buyers search and cited where they ask. Most businesses we meet are doing one of two things badly: a site that ranks reasonably but has no strategy for AI visibility, or they have been told to "do GEO" with no clear picture of what that means or whether it is working. We build the foundation that covers both.
What we build
- 01Search foundation (SEO), technical SEO that removes the reasons you are not ranking, on page structure built around how your buyers actually search, and content that earns organic authority over time rather than renting attention through paid channels
- 02AI visibility (GEO), content structured so AI engines can extract, quote and cite it, FAQ and entity schema so your pages appear in AI Overviews and AI search responses, and verification that AI crawlers like GPTBot, PerplexityBot and ClaudeBot are allowed access to your site
- 03Founder and brand presence, the channels your buyers actually trust before they decide: LinkedIn, relevant communities, the publications they read. A founder voice that closes the loop between discovery and trust
- 04Site that earns the click, being found means nothing if the site does not convert the visit. We audit and improve conversion on the pages that matter, so the click you earned turns into a conversation
Common shapes
- aAn SME whose homepage ranks for the company name and almost nothing else
- bA founder whose LinkedIn would be their strongest channel if they posted twice a month
- cA site that quietly loses trust in the first scroll and needs a rebuild, not a refresh
- dA team that wants to be cited by AI answers before their competitors notice it matters
